Fishing, Geocaching, and getting into the Aquarium Buisiness

So to start a super cool summer today Ryan, Steve, and I borrowed a canoe from Indian Rock and went fishing on Scoville Reservoir. We found it pretty easily and paddled out to an island. We fished off the island for a while and we didn't catch anything in the first three minutes so I got bored as usual. I decided to explore the island some. There was a goose nest with two eggs in it, some beer cans, and something very strange. I found what looked like a prescription bottle with camo tape on it and tied to a tree with a green twisty tie. I opened it up and found a message inside. It said "Final Best of Both Worlds Two." It also had some GPS coordinates on it. So we copied down the coordinates and the message and continued fishing. We caught nothing but a bunch of tiny sunfish and some crayfish. So we did the natural thing, we brought them back with us and started an aquarium. One problem, fish need oxygen too. So we grabbed my GPS, Steph, and Chuck and headed out to investigate the mystery coordinates and buy an air filter and save the fishies. The coordinates took us back to Scoville Reservoir. We followed the GPS along a trail on the shore and after a few problems and some poison ivy bushwhacking we found a box covered in the same ammo tape as the prescription bottle. There was a bunch of random stuff in it along with directions for an activity called Geocaching. Basically it's a treasure hunt with a GPS. You follow the clues to find the cache and then take an item and leave an item. It's pretty cool. We took a Hot Wheels Car and left a mini periodic table of elements, a wings over menu, and a carabiner. We signed the log book as Team Beaver Fever. We then ran back to the car and zipped around Wolcott/Waterbury to buy a filter and air pump for the fishies. We had two casualties but they were put to good use (fertilizer). So all this adventure had made us hungry. Steve and Ryan decided to make a 4 layer cake about 30 inches tall. We each attempted to eat a quarter of the monstrosity. A total of 2270 calories per piece. Steve almost didn't finish. Chuck some how did. Steph and I didn't do so well; neither did Ryan. It was challenging that's for sure. More geocaching and aquarium building tomorrow. I gotta go sleep now cause I gotta build a fence in the morning. :(
